2024 Summer Cooking Club
This summer GKT held our first cooking club where several Glee Kids members learned and participated in cooking numerous dishes including sushi and curry. The GKT Cooking Club aimed to teach GKT members how to serve others, whether that be parents, friends, or those in need, through food and how to better take care of themselves.
This year’s cooking club met three times:
Day 1: August 6, 2024 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
Cooked: Ximilu, Mapo Tofu, Curry
GKT Members attended: 6
Day 2: August 8, 2024 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
Cooked: Sushi, Onigiri, Miso Soup, Egg Tart
GKT Members attended: 4
Day 3: Dec 21, 2024 11:00 AM-2:00 PM
We made egg tarts and distributed them to the senior residents at the Park in Plano nursing home.
