2024 Summer Art Club

GKT plans to hold the art club every Saturday night of June. There will be 4 times the club will be held, each time will be 2 hours. The time spent will be counted as volunteer hours.

This years art club had two themes:

1.    The Holidays

Creating: Cards and Postcards

Goal: Be able to give seniors something meaningful on the Holidays, or fundraising use

Times held: 2 times

Description: The club will provide blank cards for members to design however they like. NO COPYING of ideas from the internet, only using it as inspiration is allowed. Drawing cards on free-time is highly encouraged. All pieces will be posted on the GKT website

2.   GKT promotion poster

Creating: 4x6 poster

Goal: Promote GKT’s performances and activities

Times held: 2 times

Description: Work individually or in a group, to create and design a unique poster. DO NOT copy another person’s work. Medium to create this poster is not limited. All posters will be posted on the GKT website, but members of GKT, including parents will vote for the two best pieces. GKT will print them out as posters for the future.

Please sign up and attend the summer art club if you can! This is a very valuable experience, and will gain volunteer hours. There will be a total of 10 hours if you attend ALL times.
