[What We Do ]
We focus on helping Vulnerable groups, the Lonely elderly, the Disabled, the Autistic people, the special needs people, and those who are ignored by society and struggling in the corners.
On June 30, 2022, Glee Kids Troupe (GKT) celebrated its start with our first visit to Baybrook Village. We were just 7 members. We all had a goal; to bring more happiness to the senior home. Ms. Valerie, the director of Baybrook Care and Rehab Center, gave us the chance to bring our idea to life as volunteers.
GKT is all about spreading happiness and togetherness. Our main goal is to bring joy and love to the residents there. Throughout 2022, we kept the seniors entertained with performances, crafts, and games. When Christmas came around, we made sure it was extra special with our music and festive fun. We even celebrated Chinese New Year with them, introducing them to Chinese traditions and food.
But GKT is not just about spreading kindness; it’s also about developing ourselves. We’ve learned leadership skills; like teamwork, public speaking, and organizing events. Every month, a member gets the opportunity to plan and lead our visits. At GKT, age doesn’t matter – whether you’re 5 or 17, everyone has an equal chance to shine.
By June 2023, our little troupe had grown to about 20 members. We’re excited about the future and all the ways we can make a difference.

2023 is a year of positive progress. We have grown rapidly this year. With everyone's efforts, GKT's organizational outline, rules and regulations, and future development plans have been further improved.
2023 is a year of continued development. We received invitations from cities & communities, and assisted them in successfully completing a series of wonderful urban cultural development activities. We have made positive contributions to the cultural development of cities and communities.
2023 is a year of bitterness and happiness. We have redefined our values, gained experience as well as happiness, and also empathized with the pain and suffering of others. We urge more of the youth to join us for a better society!
Looking back 0n 2023, we are grateful to our parents for their encouragement and dedication over the years. We are grateful to the public for their loving donations and strong support. I believe that through everyone's joint efforts, GKT will definitely open a new chapter in 2024. GKT Cofounder Moon Wan
In 2024 we will place the nursing home as our main focus. Through fundraising, one on one assistance, meaningful projects, assisting with wheelchairs; i.e cleaning wheelchairs, looking after seniors in their room who are physically immobile.
we will continue strengthening the team via activities, create leadership opportunities with new members, detail the volunteering process, and cultivate members ability to write summaries on each event.
This year we hope to build togetherness, and promote GKT. In the following years, we hoping to expand GKT to kids in neighboring cities of Plano and Richardson. GKT Co-founder Tina Wu
