On December 21, 2024, I had the honor of leading the Glee Kids Troupe (GKT) with Oliver and Ivy during our visit to a rehabilitation center. We started with a holiday concert medley performed with the GKT orchestra, followed by amazing solo performances by our talented members. At the end of the visit, the GKT choir led some fun holiday sing-alongs while we handed out homemade egg tarts and Christmas cards.

Preparing for this performance was a team effort. Some GKT kids held a summer art club to create beautiful Christmas greeting cards, while others made egg tarts from scratch. The kids who participated in the orchestra and choir had two rehearsals with a professional teacher to perfect the performance.

It felt great to spread joy and warmth to the seniors at the center. Knowing that just an hour of our time could bring so many smiles made it even more special. Oliver and Ivy organized the event and coordinated member sign-ups for the visit, while I introduced each performance and, along with other kids and parents, helped distribute egg tarts and Christmas cards to the seniors. This experience was a fantastic leadership opportunity, and presenting in front of such a kind and engaging audience helped me grow as a person.
