Make Our Home Better
September 30, 2023, a sunny day. GKT is once again honored to be invited to participate in the grand Asian American Cultural festival organized by DCCC. The annual AACF is one of the important celebrations in Richardson city. At the cultural festival, you can not only appreciate and participate in making cultural crafts, but you can also taste cuisines from all over the world and watch diverse performances from different cultures.
Show Execution
As one of the outstanding volunteer teams, GKT participated throughout the entire event. We presented wonderful performances including chorus, orchestra concerts, and traditional cultural performances. In order to present the best performance, the team members conducted rigorous rehearsals almost every week. As a result, we received lots of applause and cheers from the audience and tourists by performing perfectly.
Through Everyone's Efforts
For this event, GKT also purchased multiple booths to conduct charity sales and raise funds for senior homes. In order to make this charity sale possible, the GKT team members started making handmade crafts, shaped balloons, and other charity items using their spare time beforehand. Parents and benevolent sponsors also donated goods, food and other materials, greatly enriching this charity sale. Through everyone's joint efforts, we successfully raised funds for the senior homes.
